We will continue to support our NI and EU customers
Announcement: Week Commencing 16/11/2020
This week we have been made aware of the following information:
“The ‘safety features’ elements of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD, 2011/62/EU) and Delegated Regulation (2016/161) cease to have effect in Great Britain from 31st December 2020. This means that pharmacies (and other end-users such as wholesalers, hospitals and others handling or supplying medicines) will no longer be required by law to verify and decommission unique identifiers on prescription medicine packs”
Action: All our customers will benefit from Clause 10.10 and 10.11 within the terms and conditions
We will automatically cancel all direct debits and inbound payments for license and support fees as of 31st December 2020
What next?:
We have been told that stakeholders within the UK wish to establish a UK system in the future (to recognise the investments made to date)
ALL existing FMD Connect customers will be offered a service once this is available, with a free of charge set up and reconnection to a UK FMD system when this is possible.
In the event of a further extension, delay or change to the above position within the UK we will update the website accordingly and of course, continue to provide our service.
Thank you to all our loyal customers, we have enjoyed supporting and working with you all.
Keep safe and we look forward to working with you all again in the future
